These terms govern your use of My Pet Memoria (“the app”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

1. Who we are

My Pet Memoria is operated by Noesis Trading Co. Ltd (trading as My Pet Memoria), a company registered in England and Wales. You can reach us at hello@mypetmemoria.com.

2. Your account

You need an email and a password to use the app. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

3. What the app does

My Pet Memoria is a grief companion for people who have lost a pet. It lets you create memorials, save memories, light digital candles, write letters, journal your feelings, and have reflective conversations with an AI companion trained to respond with warmth, drawing on ideas from grief therapy. The app also offers short educational courses on grief topics.

4. What the app is NOT

• It is not a substitute for professional mental health care, grief counselling, or medical advice.
• The AI companion is a text processing tool. It is not a licensed therapist, not a doctor, and not a real person.
• If you are in crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately. In the UK: Samaritans 116 123. In the US: 988. The app displays crisis resources when it detects distressing content, but do not rely on it to intervene in an emergency.

5. Subscription (My Pet Memoria Pro)

• Pro unlocks chat, letters, all candle themes, all meditation tracks, additional courses, and unlimited reflections.
• Pricing: £9.99 / month or £69.99 / year (prices may vary slightly by country due to Apple / Google regional conversion).
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account. We never see your card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime via your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings. We can’t cancel on your behalf.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies, not by us.
• Free trials, if offered, count toward the first billing period.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app to harass, threaten, or harm others
• Attempt to reverse engineer the app or bypass any security or subscription features
• Upload content that infringes someone else’s copyright or privacy
• Use the AI features to generate content for external publication or commercial use

7. Your content

Every pet memorial, memory, letter, journal entry and photo you upload remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to store and display that content back to you, and to send it to our AI processing partner (OpenAI) when you request a reply. We do not share your content publicly unless you explicitly choose to share a candle link.

8. Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Menu → Delete my account). Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

9. Service availability

We’ll do our best to keep the app running reliably, but we don’t guarantee uptime. We may occasionally update or temporarily suspend features for maintenance or improvement.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by UK law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in subscription fees in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change anything material we’ll notify you in the app before the change takes effect. Continued use after the change means you accept the new terms.
